Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day!

We took the kids to a "flower store" on Saturday and let them pick flowers for my mother's day present. They were so excited about their choices that they wanted to take pictures of them. Thanks for my wonderful new plants! The older boys have decided that they each want to have a part of our flower garden that they take care of- weed and water etc... We will see how long that lasts.

We are so lucky to be able to go see both of our moms today. Here are some fun pictures of Grandma Young’s backyard. One of Grandma’s favorite things is books. We spent some time reading fun books. The boys were loving the pea-eating monster in this book. Chase was especially happy being outside. He has not been out much because most of his life has been too cold. Tanner and Jaxon spent a lot of time picking dandelions. They got pennies for getting all they could so they were running all over trying to get the most. The boys also liked climbing trees and eating strawberry shortcake!Thank you mom for all you have done for me. For patience and love while raising me and for friendship and support (and patience and love) in my adulthood. You are amazing.

Grandma Bartlome is the worlds best chocolate chip cookie maker. She is famous for how perfect they always turn out. The kids were chomping them eagerly. Chase gave grandma a not-so-welcome Mothers Day present all over her shirt right after this picture. But she loves him anyway! Thank you for being the worlds best mother-in-law. You are always fun to talk to and be with. Thanks for all of your love.

Thanks Janelle for coming over with your cute family and making mother's day fun. I can't wait to plant my flower. I love the pictures. It's so nice to be outside after this long winter. Too bad it rained again today! Mom
