St. George Weekend Trip.

Andre and Jaxon headed down to St. George for Jaxon's last Marching band competition.
Jaxon was with his friends and the band the whole weekend and Andre stayed with his parents.

Andre took a video the entire show which is about 10 minutes long. That video would not load on this blog because it is too long. I am going to put a couple short videos of the show that I took a few weeks ago at another show. I was not very high up- so it is not a great view. But you get the idea of it.
Their show is very entertaining and has a lot of amazing marching and playing. It is called, "Dead Men Tell No Tales".  It has a pirate theme as you can tell from these videos.

They performed on Friday at the Red Rocks invitational with is a State competition. I think they took third place in their division. This is amazing because there is so much competition.

Then on Saturday at the Bands of America competition. This had bands from Texas, California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada and more. It was a cool performance to be in. Unfortunately, Andre was given the wrong time of Jaxon's performance so they missed it by 20 minutes. They were sitting around all day waiting for 5:00. They got there at 4:00 so they would for sure see it. But they should have been there at 3:00. Oh well. At least they got to see it on Friday.

When it was over Andre picked Jaxon up from the hotel and went to go visit his sister Marci and her family.

They have a business called UTV Adventure Tours- or something. They rent out or take you on these cool vehicles out in the Southern Utah desert.

They took Andre and Jaxon and his parents, Gordon and Carol out for a 4 hour excursion. They had a lot of fun. Jaxon wants us to buy one of these for us to use.

Do you see that cliff that they are standing on? Look closer. You would not get me to stand on that ledge. Freaky- and beautiful!
Above is Andre, Jaxon, Carol and Gordon. Below is Marci's family- Kole, Randall, Kiya, Marci and Keanan.

Here are Kole and Jaxon
Here they are when they were little and cute. They are about 9 months different in age.

Keanan wanted his picture taken sooo bad- so Andre took one. He is adorable.

They had tons of fun and they would really recommend this business for anyone who wants to explore the desert. Randall really makes it a fun trip. If you want information- here is the website:

So they left to come home at 3:00. They had had a fun weekend.
Jaxon fell asleep and was woken up by the car's tire exploding.

They had just passed Fillmore and Andre felt the car acting a little strange. You know how you wonder if it is the road or your tire- and it is almost always the road? Well this time it was the tire. It had been about 20 seconds. He had just decided to get off at the next exit when Wham! The tire blew. He expertly pulled the car over and realized that this was not just a flat tire. This is a big problem.

He was able to call a tow truck to come and get them. They decided that this was not an easy fix and it was not drivable. There is not a rental car place in that county but the tow truck place is also a U-haul dealer. So Andre rented a U-haul truck. Of course the huge one was the only one available. Then they drove home in a giant U-haul truck.

I am so glad that they made it home safely. I have heard horror stories of tires causing roll-over accidents. God was looking out for them.
