We have had some really cute pictures of Alex lately and I wanted to share. A good word to describe Alex right now is intense. He can love you so intensely by being on you and giving kisses and hugs. Then the next minute he can have a tantrum that involves kicking the ground. He loves Chase and loves to YELL the baby's name in his face- see picture of baby in car seat below. Speaking of car seats, Alex loves to sit in Chase's car seat and bouncy seat and would sit in the swing if we let him.

He loves his blankies. He has a red one, a yellow one, a green one and a froggy one. He loves all of them. When he is tired he loves to go to bed- but only if he wants to. He wants to do what he wants- but does not have the language to tell me what that is. So he can be REALLY sad. He still speaks Chinese and expects us to understand- but some English is popping out here and there. He repeats a lot of things but one of his favorite things to say is "di-di" (chinese for bye bye). He will come into the room and say di-di to everyone (and everyone has to wave di-di to him or he keeps waving and gets increasingly loud) and run out of the room. One minute later he will repeat the whole process.

My favorite picture is the one where he is in his booster seat. That smile says it all. Full of energy! Alex is cute and fun, but I don't like taking him shopping (or many other places) anymore. He does not want to sit in the cart and is mad the whole time if I force him to be in it. But he is too little and slow and crazy to be allowed to walk in a store.
He is pretty cute when playing with his toys. He likes to lay on the ground when he is playing with vehicles. We don't know why he does that, but we do know that he loves trucks, cars and choo-choo's. He also loves books lately. He will go get a book and bring it to you and basically push the book into you until you read it to him.
