April stuff

We have had some fun with Alex lately. Because Chase will be needing a bed, Alex had to leave his crib. We took everything out of his room so he would have nothing to play with if he did get out of his bed. We took the crib out of his room so he would HAVE to sleep in the big boy bed. We got his big boy bed and had a lot of fun with it and told him he was a big boy.

We started this weekend. We took him in at night and gave him all of his blankies that he usually has and did our normal routine. We shut the door and held our breath. Would he hate it and scream? Would he stay up all night? (We decided to go ahead and do the Alex bed thing now because if one baby is up in the night we might get it over with a t the same time.) Alex did get up once that first night but he slept all night. The next two nights he had a harder time. He gets up and walks to the door and knocks (he can't open the door). We put him back in bed and he looks like he is really tired and he is going to stay in bed but as soon as we close the door he knocks again. He stays up for almost 2 hours doing that. Nap time is still good- he gets pretty tired. We know he will get it.

We have let him keep his pacifier a little longer because we knew he would have a transition with the bed and we didn't want to take everything away at the same time. We keep putting the pacifier thing off. He is nearly two! I think it is time. But I really don't want to do it!

We took these picture tonight and all he would do is jump all over and get up and down. He loves the bus on the blanket.

One funny thing is that when we were taking his crib down, he got sad and said, "bed, modamesd, bed, jshedks, bed..."



This is a picture of Jaxon reading his Geronimo Stilton book. I can't believe that he is very comfortable. Those books are really fun to read, you should try them if you are 7.









This is Tanner's Hairy Herman. He made it at Preschool. He has grass for hair. Tanner's preschool is pretty cool. His teacher was a first grade teacher for a long time and her goal for this preschool is to get the kids ready for kindergarten. (I realize that most preschool's are but this is the best one we have sent our kids too.) Tanner is going to be really prepared with his writting and math as well as letters/colors etc.... These were things we didn't focus on with Jaxon.
