Easter

Decorating eggs. We decided to try a few new things this year. 

We used kool-aid instead of the egg decorating packs. You just add 2/3 cup water to an entire envelope of kool-aid. The purple does not really work and the yellow doesn't either but I really liked how bright the other colors were and it didn't stink like vinegar. You can find more info online if you are interested.

We also hole punched tissue paper and then used glue sticks to glue them on after they were died and dried. They looked cool but we didn't take any pictures. By the time everything was dried and we glued, I was out of the picture taking mode.

He thinks that he gets to grow up and get tired of stuff like decorating eggs. 

Our Easter bunny comes on Saturday morning so we have plenty of time to hunt for eggs. It's a good thing because some of them were really hard.

Sunday we got up and had a good breakfast and went to church. Them we got this picture of the boys. They are cute. 

We went to Grandma and Grandpa's house. The boys LOVE their new shirts.

Caused by a big hill and an out of control scooter. It was a lot bigger then this in real life. Pictures don't do it justice. It got greenish blue and then yellowish.

His elbow got hurt too. This accident could have been so much worse- I'm glad it wasn't.

This boy was double lucky Saturday morning. The tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny came on the same day. He lost his first tooth!

He had been wiggling it and it started coming out- but not enough to really come out. He was too freaked out to pull it and he wanted me to straighten it back so it would stop hurting. So I grabbed it and yanked it out fast. He was super shocked. But really happy. It didn't hurt (I am so glad, it could have been a bad thing if it had hurt him.)

We also did our tradition of talking about what Jesus did for the last week of his life. We put the pictures up on our wall as a reminder. We did not do a very good job this year. We forgot to do Tuesday, Wednesday AND Thursday- we were busy! But we caught up eventually. This year we continued with the story and talked about what Jesus did in the book of Mormon for FHE on the Monday after Easter.  That worked out nicely. I have to figure out what to do to teach my older kids deeper meaning and with more spirit, AND keep the younger ones attention. They get really hyper and need fast lessons.  Who has ideas for me?
