There is a little lake/pond on the property. It really was nothing exciting. Except that something was living in that pond.
If you put a hot dog on the end of a string and waited.....
something would be caught!
Crawdad catching was a much beloved activity for the kids.
Bucket-o-crawdads
We don't really want to talk about what happened to those crawdads. It involved a pot of boiling water and kids chomping away- eeeww.
There were also horny toads there. This is a kids paradise.
If you climbed this hill...
You would find a rope swing that was also a favorite activity.
Even at night.
We had such a fun time building marshmellow shooters.
Then we played capture the flag- marsh mellow war version.
Here is the opposing team ready to strike.
Here are our defenders- at the ready.
Then it was war!
We had some sneaky soldiers
(This is the picture that I have of the cabin- so nice)
It was really fun.
Oh ya, here is another picture of crawdads.Creepy
We had fun meeting and getting to know our newest cousins,
Baby J
and Baby A (who is not so little anymore.)
Here is the Lizard Catching Club
Oh, did I mention that we got a little muddy
We payed Frisbee Golf
There is a game called Blink. Alex learned it and loved it. He would set it up and wait for someone to come along and play with him. He got smart and started setting it up so that his opponent had more cards then him!
We love to play games together. Have you ever played "What If?" We laughed so hard.
But the best part was playing with cousins. They really love each other.
Let's do it again!
