Jump

Last fall we took down our broken trampoline and unused swingset.

We have really missed the trampoline. The kids love to go out and use some excess energy every day.

Chase got a new trampoline for his birthday and we really thought he would have to wait until April to use it. We have had a very unusual winter and it has been warm.

It was Valentines day and we needed something to do. So we got the trampoline out --- in February!

It was a fun family project to put it together.

Here is the side yard with just a trampoline box.
Finding all the pieces.
Putting all the pieces together

Putting the springs on. Tanner loved this and took it on as his project.

Tying the pad to the frame

We were almost done. Then we discovered a problem. Whoever was reading the directions read them wrong. They shall remain nameless. But to her defense, everyone was talking at once and demanding to know the next step right now, and it is hard to understand directions in those kind of conditions.

So... here we are untying the pad from the frame
and taking the springs off

And putting the springs back on

Then we got the netting up and we were done!

Jaxon joined us for the net stage.

The grand opening!

"Might as well jump -Jump!
Might as well jump
Go ahead an' jump  -Jump!
Go ahead and jump"
Jump!

And now my side yard looks like this again!
This time we don't have a swing set in the way so we can move it around a little and not kill the grass as much. And it is in a flatter area- so not on an angle.

Did you see how sunny it was? And how we were all just in short sleeve shirts? I think it was in the high 60's that day. I am sure we have cursed ourselves- it will probably be totally cold and snow a lot from now on because we put this up.

I want you to know that I too was in charge of directions putting up our little tramp and may or may not have skipped a step too. You are not alone! Yay for awesome winter, too.

Yep. You helped bring on the cold winter weather! At least it wasn't me this year.

Even if you jinxed yourself and it snows again, trampolines are way fun in the snow!
