Cathedral Gorge

It was spring break. It was time to go explore something cool. This time we went to Nevada. If you go to Cedar City and head west 1 hour or so to Nevada. You will find this cool place.

Off we go to explore

There are just tons of canyons and cliffs to explore on and in.

Lots of narrow canyons with super tall cliffs. (but they are all pretty short)

You can see some canyons from the top.

Chase is in a gate like entrance. It went to a really cool place with lots of canyons and stuff.

They found this cave.
and they all went into it. I guess it was big inside. I didn't go in.

Then they didn't come out for a long time. It was more canyons and places to explore.

There was also this rope that Tanner climbed up and then found another one going down the other side.

They came out eventually.

This is what it looked like going down.

Chase fit through that hole.

Narrow canyons!

Then we went up to the top area and hiked down.

It was a cool hike.

Does this even look like earth?

Then we got down to the end of the trail and it was more narrows. It was actually more of the same canyon area that we had not explored yet.

view from the narrows looking the other direction.

Can you see Tanner in this picture?

Then we walked back up to the top.

Then we went to find our hotel. It was actually a bed and breakfast. It was a cabin that was built in the back yard of the b and b. It was awesome. We rested for a minute
We went to find a restaraunt. There was not one in the town we were in. So we had to go to the next town up in Nevada- Pinoche I think. It looked just like an old mining town.
And there was this random area with this weird diagonal building.

On our way back, we went to the other part of the narrows that we had not been to yet. The first part was the most southern part. The hike took us to the most north part and then we drove to the middle part.

They climbed up and said that there were sketchy drop offs.
Tanner took this picture to show me.

It started getting dark.

From inside one of the canyons looking out to the valley
It really did look like a beach. With fine sand leading to the cliffs.

Then it really was getting dark and Chase said, "I think I saw a bat!" Alex told him that no way was it a bat- it had to be a bird. Ummm, how many caves are in that canyon? of course there were bats. That is why we stopped. Bats were coming out of their caves everywhere.
