Zions National Park

We were at a bed and breakfast! So we had breakfast at 7:00 Nevada time and then drove about 1 1/2 hours or so to get to Zions. 

Since we got there later then we would have preferred we had a long long to get into Zion's.  There are shuttles in the canyon to get from place to place. 

But it turned out fine This was the only line we really needed to stand in. Ther rest of the day was totally fast.

We hiked to lower emerald pool. I was disappointed to see that the upper pools were closed. 

Then we went to the river walk along the Virgin River. It is near the Narrows entrance. But the Narrows are closed because of the raging river that runs through it during the spring. 

There was this cool waterfall on this huge cliff above us.

Then we hiked to weeping rock. The water does not come from a waterfall. It just seeps out of the rock. 

Can you see the drips falling from the cliff? 

There were lots of trails by weeping rock, but they were closed because of rock slides, or peregrine falcon nesting time... etc. So I have learned that spring maybe isn't the best time to visit Zions. 

Then we split up. The people whose feet hurt went to see the court of the patriarchs. 

Tanner, Alex and Andre hiked for 2 miles or so to see an overlook. Tanner is on the trail kind of on the left side. 

Alex got really hot so he found some shade to lay in.

We left Zions and had to get a treat.
