Beach day!
My boys love the beach and they love to jump around in the waves. So as soon as we got to the beach, they ran out to the waves.
Then a bunch of cousins arrived.
This year my mom bought boogie boards so the kids could enjoy that. The kids loved that.
My mom loves the beach.
Hanging out on the beach is always fun too.
Jimmie hated the ocean. He almost drowned when he was 9 so he has avoided it since then. But Jill talked him into trying it again. Our whole family have been to the beach so many times and never had any problems. So- here they are enjoying it.
And then a few minutes later- Jill and Jimmie were out of the water and Jimmie was bleeding and in terrible pain. Like terrible, terrible pain. After deciding that it must be a sting ray sting, we got the life guard. They tried a few things and decided that hot water would be the best solution to help his pain.
Poor Jimmie. hundreds of people were in the water that day. why did he have to be stung by a sting ray? They had to leave to go back to the house. They tried bath water and no success. Jill boiled water- obviously not boiling- but nearing boiling temps. It was hot to the touch- but exactly what he needed. The pain was all up and down his leg at that point. It took 4 hours to feel better. Then it was tender after that.
He is never going into the ocean again. I don't blame him.
The kids were still enjoying the ocean. We going out Kub and taught them how to play.
And sat around and visited.
Jeff was hanging out with Chase and Avery in the water. Chase was in the water a lot. He was always out the farthest and loved jumping those big waves.
Then we left the beach and hung out at the house. The kids played in the pool.
Then we played group games like chicken taco and the couch game.
Some of the kids really wanted to play one night werewolf.
and more of us visited.
Then off to sleep after a really fun day.
