I had to title this post the way I did to make fun of Andre. He of course thinks of it as "the Utah game". But he married me- so for 3 1/2 hours each year we have a rivalry. Really we don't care about it the other 364 days of the year but this day we have fun. We watched the game at my parents house because they have cable and we don't. Poor Andre had to deal with everyone around him cheering for the opposition.
I buy my kids different shirts each year- BYU, then Utah. This has worked out until now. Jaxon cares. None of the kids have ever cared which shirt they have on. They just like wearing "Mom's school" shirt or "Dad's school" shirt. Jaxon all of a sudden "hates" BYU and loves the Utah Utes. No one forced him to wear the BYU shirt that he asked me to buy for him last May. But as the day progressed, He put a note on his shirt. There is a close up next.
This picture below lasted for about 2 minutes. Then none of them watched more then a few minutes more. They just played with toys and made a mess of Grandma and Grandpa's house.
During the game, Tanner got upset that he was wearing a Utah shirt when he wanted BYU to win. Grandma remembered that she had a BYU hoody at her house. Tanner was really excited to wear the BYU shirt.
The freaky thing is that Utah was winning until Tanner took the Utah shirt off. BYU was winning the whole time Tanner wore that BYU shirt. Then later he got hot and started wearing the Utah shirt again. As soon as he put that red shirt back on Utah started catching up and tied the ganme!
But of course BYU triumphed over all obstacles- even Tanner's shirt- to win the game in overtime.

Jaxons shirt cracked me up. It was fun having you guys here for the game.
Looks like a fun game day! A BYU overtime win is always good for some excitement! And now we know why Utah caught up and forced the game into overtime. Next time make sure Tanner wears the BYU shirt for the WHOLE game! We enjoyed the game way down here in AZ too!

That is HILARIOUS! It sounds to me like I need to have a good talking to Jaxon! But at least Tanner had it all figured out. Glad he was in control and that the cougs pulled it off! Sorry Andre!
