Andre is a pretty good guy.
I mean, who else would let his 6 year old spray him in the face for the entire length of a lacrosse game.
What a guy.
What a guy.
Andre has worked at his job for 11 years now. Amazing.
Here we are at his office in June.
Here we are at his office in June.
I took a few pictures of the decor (or lack thereof). This wallpaper was probably put up in the early nineties. Check out the border if you can.
I only go here a couple times a year and I didn't notice how bad the wallpaper was.
While we were on vacation, Andre's office was painted and he got new carpet. He decided that maybe now would be the time to actually decorate his office. The only decorations that he had were the four pictures of his kids as shown in the picture below, a few other family pictures over near his desk, and a few random things that he never really had a chance to hang up.
So he got back from vacation, and here are the new and improved painted walls. It looked great, but really empty.
So, we have been going shopping. Here are our finds.
Mirror in the corner and candle sticks on the lamp table.
He got a cork board instead of just pinning things to the wall. But we still need to work on this area.
I think we still have work to do to make it feel less empty.
Andre had a birthday! We had our ice cream testing party. I kind of went crazy this year with waaaaay too many varieties. But it was fun and we eat them all eventually.
Happy Birthday!
So, the morning of Andre's birthday, his kidney stone pain hit him hard. (Pictures above were after pain killers- he decided that he felt good enough for ice cream!) After getting some pain killers he was able to survive- but just barely. He laid around on the couch a lot. He got really tired of watching TV. but that was really all he could do.
He also grows his beard out during vacations and usually cuts it into a goatee when he gets home. It lasts a week or so. I had to get a picture of it.
So 13 days after the original kidney stone pain. He was finally pain-free! It took a lithotripsy procedure and a lot of groaning, pain pills and ice packs. He really does not want another one of those. There are some more in his kidney and they might loosen and someday get painful. But there is nothing to do about it- but drink a lot. So he is. We are so glad he is feeling better. that was not any fun for any of us- but mostly for him. I have to say again that it is a miracle that that pain waited until we got home from our trip. That would not have been good while we were in the middle of nowhere. God really looked out for him.
So, after Andre healed from two hamstring injuries, went on vacation, and then healed from kidney stones, he was finally able to go back to playing soccer. We were finally able to go watch him, because we don't have school, scouts, lacrosse or soccer practice to go to.
The kids watched for a while. It was really hot. I think it was 92 degrees and it was 8:00 at night.
Mostly they played and stuff. It was hot you know.
So here are some shots of Andre playing.
He really enjoys it.
To recap... Andre is a really great guy. Who else would go on Rattle Snake Rapids 7 times in a row with his kids?
