Universal

We went to Universal Studios.

And when we planned this vacation I didn't know that Harry Potter would be there!

It opened in April so we got to go! Of course it was crowded. But it was cool. It actually was kind of cold. It was overcasts and kind of misty. and then we walked into this town with snow on the roofs. It was weird. 

We went on the ride that is in the school. In fact the line winds around and around under Hogwarts. But they have a lot of things  to look at and see while you are in line.

The ride was cool because they had your seats move and go with the movie that you are watching.
It was very fun as you are playing quidditch and being chased by dragons. 

They had a lot of shops to buy Harry Potter things.

Andre took the little boys to go on the other ride. They saw Hagrid's hut

We all had Butterbeer! Which is good, but it is really too sweet for my taste.

That was cool, but there is a lot of other things at Universal. We went on the studio tour. I remember going on this when I was 12ish.

We really liked this. They take you around and show you lots of places that they film movies and stuff. The Jaws thing was still there but it was disappointing because half of us didn't even see the shark at all. (we were on the other side of the bus thing.)

We saw a lot of cool sets like this airplane set.

But the coolest things were when they took the tour into a studio building to show us a set. Then they had  a movie take over the whole building- all around us. They had king kong fighting dinosaurs and our tour bus moved with all the action going on around us. it felt like we were falling down a cliff and getting thrown around. Very cool. 

There were so many other areas and each one had a ride. all of them were rides that incorporated movies into the ride. Some were kind of roller coasters and some were just stationary- but your seat was moving back and forth so it felt like you were moving.  

This was Jurassic Park. It was a water "log flume" type ride.

There was Transformers, the Mummy, Simpsons, Shrek, and lots of others.

We also saw all the shows, there was a special effects one, and this is an animal one.

The Water World one was the coolest. We did it at the end of the day so it was good to sit down and rest before we left.

Fire and explosions! Very fun.

It was fun!

I think we liked Universal Studios the best out of all the parks we went to.
