Alex

 This boy is a good kid.

 Alex is 13 and in 8th grade.

 Alex started at a new school this year. That is hard because he didn't know many people and everything is new. He is rising to the challenge. He has kept in touch with his Hawthorn friends and they really love to hang out. Alex loves to be the DM of their D and D group.

Alex signed up and was selected to be in the PTSA for his school. He has gone to one meeting for that and I am sure there will be more. It was a Saturday field trip and he liked it a lot.

Alex got his eagle paperwork done this month. Here is a picture of him by a hydrant that his project helped to paint.

I went and bought all of Alex's badges and sewed them onto the sash. So he can where it. So I had to get some photos of him.

He has loved scouting and has been pretty focused on getting his awards done.

 This is a picture of one night as we were reading the scriptures. It is not the greatest picture but it is trying to be clandestine. We are almost done with Ether- so we are almost done with the Book of Mormon!

This is one of the deacon activities where they helped a family move. That was a cool activity.

Alex is doing great on the piano. He does not mind practicing and he keeps steadily improving. He is playing some fun songs now- Imagine by John Lennon is a recent song.

Alex is in the advanced orchestra at school. This is a challenge for him because he was not  really in a big orchestra at hawthorn. He was always with a lot of beginners even though he was advancing. He could have been in intermediate this year at Elk Ridge but it didn't fit in his schedule. So- he is being challenged. He is learning new things and loving it. 

Alex loves flags. He knows which flag belongs to which country. At our ward dinner a few weeks ago, they had flags up and told people that they can write a post it on each flag about which country. Only Alex and Jaxon did this. They both love flags. They knew all the flags. Maybe there was one that they were not sure of. 

We love our Alex and are grateful for him in our family!!
