Beach

If you go to California you have to go to the ocean.  We love the ocean. There really is not a beach near the redwoods that we were camping in. So we drove north for an hour and went to Centerville beach. We got there and realized that the waves were amazing!

We also realized that if the boys went out into those waves, they would die. Literally drown. I tried not to be freaked out every time a huge wave crashed near the boys.  So they stayed out of the crashing waves and had lots of fun. 

This guy had a birthday on the beach! Happy birthday to Andre!

We built a lot of sand castles

And waited until the tides brought the waves up to destroy them

Look at the cool scenery. It was really foggy. As the fog started leaving we could see the mountain of clouds over the ocean- can you see it behind Andre's head. 

This was looking the other direction. It was freezing and foggy. So we didn't have a lot of other people with us on the beach.

Camping and wind and sea water and lots of wind and more wind causes my hair to be so pretty.  

Andre had a birthday nap on the beach.

So the favorite activity was standing right near the crashing waves then running away from the waves.

Andre and Chase dug a hole and Chase got in

I took this really cute picture.

I turned around and took this picture of a monster wave hitting Jaxon- then we all realized that that water was coming fast towards Chase who was still in the hole. We had to quickly grab him out of the hole or his face would have been covered. The water hadn't reached that far on the beach yet or really anywhere close to it.

We really have cute boys.
