Here is Chase being fascinated by the little brine shrimp in the water. Can you see how clear the water is? The water was awesomely warm too. It's too bad that there are billions of bugs along the shoreline. It makes it not such a great place. Just walk 10 feet into the water past the bugs and it is really pleasant.

Here are the older boys getting way ahead of us. You can walk forever into the water and it is still only 2 feet deep. That is what we did.
So, once we got clear out there, there was this sandbar to play on. The sand was under the water, so no bugs. The water was clear and warm it was a really fun place to be!
See my neck? I forgot to put sunscreen on it. It fried! I put sunscreen on everything else and wore a hat so my forehead doesn't get more sun. But I forgot my neck.
This kind of shows how far out we walked. We had already walked about half way and still had this far to go to the beach. Also, look at those clouds. They are cool huh?
We went on a hike. The pictures are out of order, this is at the end of the hike.
This is the mountain they climbed. On the left of the picture you can see a little bump on the silhouette of the mountain. That is where we started and we hiked to the top. It only took 15 minutes max. There were billions of little gnats or tiny flies everywhere so we were glad to get back to the car.
This is a bison we saw but not on the hike. This picture is out of order. There are lots of bison on the island but we didn't have time to go where most of them are- we only saw this one.
But the hike was worth it because of views like these. It was beautiful.
Antelope island is definitely fun to go to. Everyone should go at least once just to experience it. But be prepared for bugs. Also the spring is better because there are less bugs.
