We went to Oregon!
I know that I am going to put a lot of pictures on the next few blog posts- but just know that I took thousands of pictures and this is not very many!
We drove for a very long time. 9 hours Saturday and 6 hours Sunday. We went to church and saw the Medford Oregon Temple. We just had everyone wear jeans and took the white shirts and a skirt for me. Chase forgot to pack any long pants.
We made it to the Ocean!
The beach and my hair do not get along but we took lots of pictures anyway.
The first three nights, we camped at Harris Beach State park. It was a nice place. I really like Oregon camp grounds.
Monday it was low tide at 9:00am. So we woke up and hurried down to the tide pools at Harris Beach.
There were lots of sea slugs and hermit crabs, and regular crabs.

There was this cool arch in the water. The waves would come crashing in as we were looking for cool creatures.
Then we left the tide pools and played in the ocean. There was a cool place were there were two large rocks that the water would surge through and the boys had a lot of fun jumping in the water.
Andre got up on the rock to take their picture. One of the bigger waves came right then.

Then we moved on to the bigger waves.
Jaxon loves the big waves in the ocean. That is what he lives for. But he is not so impressed with the temperature of Oregon water.
Along the beach was a small stream coming down to the beach. We played along there for a while.
The boys built a dam along the stream.
After lunch we went to a different beach. It was Crissey Field. It was pretty similar to Harris beach. But we liked that it had a foot wash that we used on the way out. We also washed sand out of the younger boys hair with it.
Andre joined the older boys out in the big crashing waves. Jaxon and Tanner love those waves.
We also did a lot of burying people.
Everyone was very sandy.
The kids really liked this spot on the way to the beach. In real life it was kind of creepy and everyone felt like it should be in a horror movie.
After dinner we went to a different beach called McVay Rock State park. It was a rock beach- so no sand (kind of weird, because it was in between both the other beaches). Jaxon did not want to go to another beach. He relaxed and read a book.
It was low tide again- so more tide pooling.
The sunset was really pretty.

This was the first sun of our trip. Right when the sun got below the clouds in the sunset. It had been overcast all day.
And that was the end of the first day.
